What's your role? How much did they raise? What stage are they?

I'd consider your comp 99th percentile. I'm a co-founder at a Series B company and there's no way I'd pay $180K base + any bonus for someone with only 2 yrs of banking. You'd be a P2 in my book since you have almost no experience so that's the $120K-$131K base band with no variable.

I've hired ex-bankers but they also had 3yrs+ of FP&A experience and they still weren't $180K base.

That said, good on you for finding a role that pays that much and doesn't demand intense hours.

Correct, because it's a skillset mismatch. I don't need a 24yr old that knows every excel shortcut. I need experienced people that can build repeatable systems and processes.

It's the same reason I don't hire anyone straight out of consulting either.
