VC Analyst vs Consulting Analyst

I have offers from a top boutique consulting firm (Strat&, A&M, Kearney) and a $100M Corporate VC Fund. Have been torn on what to choose. For context, this past fall I rejected MBB to work at a top startup, however, due to the Tech layoffs my startup offer got rescinded :'). Fortunately, I managed to get these two offers.

The consulting role is with a super new and fast-growing group of the consulting firm. As such, they are paying solid as well, $135k.

On the other hand, I got an offer from the VC fund of the largest healthcare chain in my state. The fund size is $100M for early-stage investments. They would not be leading rounds, and would be writing $500K checks, with exceptions. The VC fund is super new, not even officially announced, but they have a good team. Being new, my responsibilities will be broad, sourcing, diligence, financial modeling, and actual voice in investment decisions. The VC role does pay less at $112k.

I have interned at another VC firm before I can say without a doubt that it was some of the most exciting work I have done. My immediate goal is B-school after working for 4ish years, and then pivot towards a larger name VC

Fortunately, since the VC is a Corporate VC firm and has only made a couple of investments, they haven't been affected by the SVB saga.

What should I do? Play it safe and go the consulting road or take a gamble and go with the VC?
