Try these podcasts: 1. Masters of Scale by Reid Hoffman. 2. Invest Like the Best. 3. The Wall Street Lab. 4. Meb Faber Show (Not consistent with quality). 5. HBR Ideacast (Not exactly a venture capital focusing podcast, but you'll pick up a few things here and there).

Invest like the Best has some of the most profound interviews on investing, I have ever listened to.. Masters of Scale will give you a good flavour of scaling businesses; sometimes the added sound effects sound very amateur, given the subject matter is so interesting in itself.

Also, check out a16z on YouTube; they often post decent videos.

Unscaled: How AI and a New Generation of Upstarts Are Creating the Economy of the Future by Hemant Taneja - My recommendation for current industry trends within VC and the theses behind them.

Venture Deals: Be Smarter Than Your Lawyer and Venture Capitalist by Brad Feld and Jason Mendelson - If you'd like to learn more about VC deal structuring and terms.

The Hard Thing About Hard Things: Building a Business When There Are No Easy Answers by Ben Horowitz - Has insight on entrepreneurship and tough decisions faced when building a company, more from the CEO's perspective than the investor's.

Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future by Peter Thiel - Dives in to unconventional thinking and driving innovation.

I am not sure about material on breaking in but in terms of early-stage investing I'd agree with the above recommendation for Venture Deals. It's a terrific book that covers everything you need to know on the structuring/terms side and what is/isn't common, etc... Plus Brad Feld is literally the nicest guy ever. Cold emailed him and he replied to me...around Christmas time!
