VC/Growth Platforms in NYC

Hi guys, I'm in Software M&A in SF - I'm at ~2 years now with good reviews and an offer to stay on for a 3rd year analyst program. I am open now to software/consumer VC and growth (not buyout or even majority); thinking likes of NVP/Battery/etc. Looking to go to NYC for my next jobs (seems ideal from ages 24-27 or so); for life experience, etc. Would love to hear what shops (don't have to be huge); would be worth chasing out there.
