What is a growth equity or VC interview like?

I've come to realize I am not attracted to leveraged buyout shops and would much prefer to work with fast-growing companies / be at the center of new ideas and innovations. For those who have gone through the growth equity interview process at the associate level for shops like Summit, TA, Providence etc., what are interviews like, especially the technicals and modeling portion? Would also be great to hear from those who managed to land a VC role as well. Are you expected to be able to build out a cap-table, model out a software business? Any and all info would be so appreciated
