What to wear to VC job interview, VP level

Have an interview for a Sand Hill road firm at neutral ground downtown (coffee shop, lunch, park, etc.) for VP level. It is a first of more conversations to come; it is the introductory chat after someone suggested we get together to see if a partner track role was a fit.

What to wear? I want to fit in because I am a recovering Wall Street guy so don't want to give them the PE vibe.

1) Suit pants, khakis, or nice dark jeans - which one?

2) Button down white shirt - please confirm

3a) If cool enough outside, I am thinking nice sweater

3b) If not cool enough outside, sport coat - yes, or at this point just go plain shirt?

4) Black lace ups shoes, black gamo loafers, tan double monk straps (...it is the bay...) - which one?

Thank you. +SB to anyone who answers.

Depends on the fund & who you're speaking to, but I'd go untucked button-down with nice jeans / chinos, throw on a vest or casual jacket if it's later in the day. Absolutely would not do a sports coat -- surprisingly hot down there vs. SF

Doubt it. I sometimes wore just a t-shirt when I met with GPs, but this was for early-stage associate and they were more often than not ex-operators.

Honestly just ask someone there what attire is like. If it's a well-known firm DM me and I'm happy to as well lol

Business casual- blazer with slacks- brown loafers/shoes. Tbh- no one cares just don't wear a full on suit and tie and you'll be good.

Like the unadjusted- only with a little bit extra.
