Bonus % at Wealth Management Firms for research people.
Hello - I hope that everyone is well. I was wondering what the bonus percentages are for alt asset research people who work at a wealth manager? Also any total comp parameters would be really helpful. This would be for a senior person who has more than 10 years of experience. Thank you.
Hi Gr8tful, check out these threads:
Or maybe the following pros can chime in... Thomas-Durkin Finexpert @Victor-Chiew1"
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
Thanks!
Wealth Management Research - Bonus seems small (Originally Posted: 08/24/2008)
I was speaking to some friends that work in PWM and some firms have Research departments dedicated to FA's and their clients...All types of research, from currencies to equity corporate research
Question is....why would anyone want to work in PWM research? It seems like bonus is real small, since FA's don't bring in as much revenue when compared to AM and IB
maybe because they couldn't do get into the better paying research areas and they can still use it as a jumping point into that field or onto the buyside with a start up.
and if it was with a large, prestigious firm such Morgan Stanley or Merrill Lynch, they can use it as a launching pad into b-school..
