Busiess cards are for people in business. If you are not working then you should be asking for the cards, not giving them out. Lets get real here, if you are a student you are looking for help. What kind of value add will there be for someone who takes your business card.

wallstreetwolfStudent business cards are not as bad as you make them sound Anthony, they are actually "contact" cards that students can use to connect with people in the industry.

Listen, I understand the concept of a business card for students, but I want you to think for one second. When you ask someone for a business card it is because you want to contact them because they are important or interesting. Do you really think you will be talking to an MD at BAML and he will say "oh shit, this UG is the bomb, I NEED to talk to him in the future". Yeah, I doubt it.

We make fun of bank teller who have business cards, why would you think a student would be any better.

Business cards = JOB

i forgot how funny the guy from magicjack is. man he is so serious in the bs he spews everyday, have you guys seen the one he does with his buddy on how to properly pack a suitcase. look it up the guy is ridiculous. EDIT: I was somehow mistaken that this guy helped make magicjack, guess he doesnt.

my school give business cards if you hold certain leadership positions etc. when i took business cards at interviews and such i offered mine, but 99% of hte time professionals would rather just have your resume. (which makes a lot more sense and will have all your contact info on it anyway.)

so to other ugrads thinking about getting business cards i'd just keep resumes...that way your contact info is attached to your qualifications
