it depends on when you do the internship? if it's during your freshmen summer then yes.
I have it planned for the two weeks of winter break. Do you think it's worth it? Yes, I'm a freshman currently interning at a sector-focussed PE fund.
It depends what you want to do eventually, but really everything helps.
For ibanking/ s&t?
It depends what side you're on. In the branch, not so much. In the cap markets dept / product side, maybe.
If it's only for 2 weeks during winter break. of course, especially if you have no other plans.
