Financial Advisor?

Okay, so I have experience in corporate finance and do eventually plan on getting my MBA. However, I am kind of tired of Corporate Finance/corporateanalytics and want to go more into sales/investments. I was wondering once an FA, assuming you do well if there are exit opps post MBA (what kind of MBA/bschool program can you enroll in) or if you are supposed to stay in an FA position (maybe trading/PWM) etc...

There are no exit ops from being a financial advisor (and PWM is a subset of it, trading most definitely is not) You can also pretty much forget about investments as well, the closest you'll likely get to it is picking mutual funds and designing portfolios for clients, if they even let you do that. Many places will only let you administer a risk tolerance questionnaire then put them into the assigned portfolio from the home office.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
