Have a connection to exec at PWM firm, but senior in HS. What do?

My dad just told me that he has a friend who works at a small PWM firm. He said he'd email him about my interest in finance. I'm not exactly sure what to do, as I can't exactly do an internship for this firm, but I'd like to use this chance as a way to gain experience in the finance industry in order to get an S&T internship/FT offer down the line. Could this possibly happen? What should I talk about with this man if he emails me? Should I try to get an internship for my summer before college?

Thanks!

From the website, it looks like he's the president of the firm. Despite it being a small firm, would this be worth pursuing as an internship opportunity before college?

if you get an intership just go for it. You won't get anything better in high school

Eh, worrying about specialization before college seems kinda unnecessary. But if you have decent reasons for doing so (like why you actually want to go into S&T down the line - by the way are you aware S&T might be pretty different in 2018?), there's no harm I guess. As a senior, you could probably get away with asking just about any question in an informational interview. But you should still do your homework, like you can probably ask your dad for example?
