Help distinguishing PWM subsectors

Hi everyone.

I'm a senior graduating soon and I'm trying to help piece apart the differences between some of these job titles and descriptions.

Is there a difference between Investment management, PWM, Financial Counseling, and Financial Advisory?
I would like to work in private banking eventually, would an entry level position in one of these fields be useful towards that goal.

Would taking a job in a FA program eliminate me from much movement as to career opportunities down the road?

I'm also studying to take my Series 7 currently, how much will having this exam on my resume help my chances of landing a job at a big firm (with a mediocre GPA from a B level school)
