How do you get a Merrill Lynch PWM internship?

Been reading about it on here a lot about people doing it over the time. However, when I go on their website to find more info, I cant really find anything. Are these internships generally only given through word-of-mouth or someone passing along a resume?

I have one pending on whether or not I can get academic credit from my university for it.

Go to totalmerrill.com and click on "Find a Branch or Financial Advisor" near the top-right corner. Type in your zip code, find the office nearest you, and give them a call. That is all I did.

Assuming you a looking for an internship at a regional office... Go to google maps, type in "Merrill Lynch" as well as whatever city you are looking to work in and it will provide you with the office's address/phone number. Contact them and use various networking techniques found on this site.

Internships at regional wealth managment branches are very random so you never know, that is why its best to be proactive and go after it on your own. It all varies on the branch and on the team (there could be 3 teams in a branch and 3 branches in a city/surrounding area). Some teams regularly post job listings through local university career services websites, others will randomly bring in an intern with no true recruiting/internship structure, and others never hire interns at all
