Private Banking vs. Finance Law

I'm currently in my undergrad, but spend a lot of time thinking abt my future career. I'm interested in both PB and finance law. I've been on the search to find as much info abt these two career paths as possible, but it can be difficult finding all the info I want, so I was hoping that someone with experience in these fields could give their two bits on them.

Weird question, how much do you make? I'm so curious and I need answers.

I've read that finance law provides a higher base salary when starting out compared to PB, but unless you become a partner, PB income in the end (like over many years of working) might overtake law. Is that true? And I know that PBs get a slightly earlier head start to their career bc they don't have to go thru law school, but isn't a lawyers salary higher anyways? So then it kinda counteracts the delayed start to entering the workforce, right?

Also, for anyone who has worked in these fields, what's it acc like? I wanna know the not so polished side of both careers, so I know exactly what I'm getting myself into.

I look forward to hearing what you have to say!
