Proper email to PWM Financial Advisors
I'm cold emailing in the hopes of securing a PWM internship at one of the BB's for this summer.
A lot of these branches have 20-30 FA's. Would it be a bad idea to email all or a majority of them? Or should I pick out a couple that I'd like to work for and only email them? The advice on these boards seems to be to attack by brute force.
Also, has anybody received a good response from emailing the branch manager asking about opportunities? Or would going straight to the FA's produce better results?
I only contacted branch managers when I got mine. Most good branch managers will get the word out to the FA's and also will know which FA's have taken interns in the past.
When you ask branch managers, did you plain politely ask for an internship? Or did you ask for "an informational interview with an FA to perhaps learn more about the industry"
I've been asking FA's for informational interviews...wasn't sure if maybe PWM is a place to be blunt...
I'd call the branch manager. Quickly tell him who you are, where you go to school and you are looking for asummer internship
