Senior student interested in PWM

Hi all,

I am currently a senior student majoring in economics and psychology in a liberal arts college. Have to admit that I am not a strong candidate to apply for PWM division in big banks, since I have a 3.43 GPA (Econ major 3.8) and from a non-target school. In the past three years, I have done internships in hotel management, big 4, and government agency (as a market research analyst).
In order to leverage my low gpa, I am going to take Gmat in January. Would it be helpful? Also, should I study for CFA as well?

Please help. Any advice will be much appreciated!

Happy Holidays!

PWM is really relationship driven. I would network with FAs and Wealth Managers instead to see if there are any jobs/internships/contractual jobs you can do with them. When I interned in a BB PWM, people actually received "Client Associate" positions through networking and ended up becoming an FA. I would network first. Dunno how the GMATs or CFA would help you.
