Shift from MS Wealth Management to MS Investment Management?
I'm currently a wealth management intern with MSWM, but not like usual cold calling works, I'm working with an analyst and working for some investment strategies. Daily job includes equity research, portfolio management. But since I will graduate this May and I seriously want to work for Asset Management for institutional clients. The supervisor said he could provide me a full-time at current office but I don't know how can I tell him that I want to transfer to another division since I'm not sure whether he could refer me? whether this is useful?(different division) and whether I may lose both jobs. Really need some suggestions on how to lead a conversation with my current supervisor. Thanks Yao
He really cannot refer you, retail and institutional Asset Management are worlds apart at a firm like MS. The best he could do is provide a positive reference if you were able to get your foot in the door at MSIM.
So I should not even talk about this thing to him, right? As it may also lose my opportunity at Wealth Management too.
dude how many of these are u going to post? this is legit like the 7th one I saw in the last three days. Give it a rest kid
