Starting a small wealth management firm?

So I’ve been working in IB for the past 4 months and honestly I’m not too fond of it (probably because of the WFH atmosphere) and this has really started to show me where my interest truly are. I’ve always been the “financially responsible” friend so giving advice on how to save and what accounts to put your money so you can make the most on your savings and why you should open a Roth IRA has always just seemed like a little quark of mine.

However, this past month one of my friends GFs texted me asking for advice on things like retirement accounts and it made me realize that this is why I’m so interested in finance. It’s not the macro transactions that books are written about, it’s the sum of the parts that’s is our society and how they handle money. I’m strongly considering starting my own little firm because I know TONS of kids who went to work for places like google who are incompetent when it comes to personal finances. I guess the point of this post is has anyone been in a similar position as myself and are there any good books/resources out there about starting a small wealth management firm?
