Why not IB to PWM?

I realize that most of the members on this site look down on PWM because there are no exit ops, but I think that is because PWM is the exit opp. My question is have you seen any ibankers pivot to pwm?

To me, this would make a lot of sense at the sr. associate or vp level. Ib gives you great experience and credibility, but most importantly it allows you to work with extremely wealthy individuals at a young age (both coworkers and clients). If you are able to build strong relationships and trust, it should make it much easier to quickly build a book as an advisor.

Have you seen this before? What do you think of this plan?
