WM / PWM - Wirehouse Compensation Structure UK

As the title implies, given the restriction on commission based advice in the Uk is the pay-out structure for WM/PWM in the UK comparative to it's US counterpart ? Assuming a wire house i.e JPM, MS, UBS Example

  • US approach:
  • Book: 100M
  • Revenue = 100 *.01 = 1M (1% fee)
  • Com base = 30%
  • Pay-out, therefore gross = 300k

Is the comp approach the same in the UK or would it be restricted under the commissioned advice guidelines ?

Thanks,

- Zack
