I was paid as a summer PWM intern at ML after my freshman year of college. Don't know if that's typical but it's certainly heard of.
Summer after freshman year is not uncommon. I have seen someone intern at a family members PWM shop in the summer prior to freshman year, however who knows what that role actually entailed. This obviously requires connections and I cannot imagine is very common, especially at the larger shops.
Freshman at a target. Couldn't land a BB PWM this year. Did a couple informational interviews but didn't get any PWM offers.
