Hey all, I am going to be a freshman at a semi-target school next year that would love to get into IB eventually, but I have a few questions for those much more experienced than me. I would like to work in PWM as an intern after my freshman year, when would you recommend to start cold emailing institutions in my colleges area, keeping in mind I haven't started college yet? Is it realistic for me to land a paid internship, or would I be working for free?

Not entirely sure about recruiting timelines for freshman summer positions but I do know you can get paid internships. A lot of BBs also have PWM internships which are paid (a friend did one his freshman summer, said it was chill and had a lot of free time). Also general advice, really get close to your upperclassmen. Having someone with IB experience sit down with me and help me write my cover letter/resume/cold email template was so invaluable.
