Accenture SI, Deloitte BTA Salaries

Out of curiosity, what are some of you target folks getting from Accenture SI and Deloitte BTA? I'm especially curious as to those working in Cali. I recently turned down Accenture for BCG. But then Accenture called me back with a counter offer today. 86k base with no signing bonus, but a 3k relocation amount. This is higher than BCG's basepay offer. Out of curiosity, Does Accenture SI even give out signing bonuses? How does this base compare to posters on here from target schools, especially those with a non-MBA masters?

What level are you being recruited at? Manager? I'm Accenture Management Consulting, and can't imagine turning down BCG for our SI group....

It sounds like he's being recruited as a Consultant (non-MBA hire). Do NOT turn down BCG for ACN SI. It will be the biggest mistake of your life, literally - and I say this, like fjroney, as a current ACN MC employee.

I'll be a first year associate (analyst level in other firms) at BCG in Boston. Accenture is offering me bay area, which is where I want to be (after negotiating with them on location for a month). While most would take MBB in this case, I kind of don't care because I'm going to be getting an MBA in 2 years. I already have an unofficial guarantee for admission to Sloan at that time via the LFM program due to my research for a Professor while I was a grad student at MIT (this to me beats HSW due to the huge discount). Without this scenario, then yes, I would take BCG in a heartbeat.

But for me, Accenture is now a draw as it's in a place I want to live. I'm just wondering if you guys know the pay scale for Accenture. Do you know what their entry level pay scale is as a function of GPA? And if they give out signing bonuses? I want to see if I can get more compensation. And this is for SI, not MCDP.

It's a quality of life decision and obviously personal, so you'll have to decide the extent to which your location preference exceeds a stronger career path and experience. Your unofficial guarantee from Sloan is nice, but after a couple years of work experience you may no longer be as interested in Sloan, and having BCG on your resume is a huge boost over Accenture (especially SI) when applying for an MBA. If you're interested in the bay area for the short term, i'd imagine you'd also be interested in the mid term, and having BCG experience will give you a much better shot at Stanford and Haas MBA's.

I don't know the entry pay scale for SI. I can tell you that 86k is about on par with what we pay our MC consultants (second level), and MC pays higher than SI....so you are likely getting a significant premium over other SI associates. I was an experienced hire and got 3k signing bonus... you should be able to negotiate for at least that much.

My last warning is that there are a lot of relatively dumb people in SI, who will be very painful to work with.... don't undervalue the experience you're foregoing and network you'd be building at BCG

Nurses with no experience and associates degrees make $100K to start in the Bay. Negotiate for more.

How would I describe myself? Three words: hard working, alpha male, jackhammer…merciless…insatiable.
