Advice on quitting after just a few months on the job
Long story short, I recently received an offer that is a huge jump from where I am currently working. Thing is, I only started here a few months ago after interning last summer. I'm definitely going to take the other offer, just wondering if anyone has any strategies to minimize the damage and leave on the best terms possible. I know that will be hard if not impossible, but I can dream. I'm actually hoping they just tell me to leave when I give them my notice.
Also, will this follow me or come back to bite me in the future?
If the new position is what you really want, there's no other way around it.
Just end on good terms with your team. They'll be pissed, but they'll understand. It happens.
