Answer to support my case please

I’m talking with a family friend and telling him my plans to enter investment banking out of undergrad. He’s not well versed in the industry, but he absolutely refuses to accept that you can get into investment banking out of undergrad. He claims you need 3 years of experience or an MBA and a lot of coding experience. I’m trying to convince him otherwise, but “dude trust me” isn’t a good enough source since I’m a college freshman. Could someone please respond and say that you can get into IB out of undergrad out of a school like Rutgers or Penn State? Thanks WSO.

Bro almost all IB analysts are straight out of undergrad. Just look at the recruiting cycles for summer analyst positions and then look at the FT offer rates for those programs. Most banks give 80% or more offers to their summers, who then go to round out their senior year and come in full time a few weeks after graduation. Only associates with no industry experience would require an MBA for OCR. Uncle is speaking straight 🧢.
