Any tips for group placement?

I recently signed at a bank that does group placement after offers have been accepted. I have a few mentors in the industry who have likened group placement to a “sorority/fraternity rush”, haha (different banks). But, my school does not have a lot of alumni at the bank so I'm not sure how to navigate/position myself for certain groups. I’m open to all but there are a few industries (Tech/Healthcare) I have some more relevant experience in and I would prefer. Any advice?
