Are Hedge funds eager to sponsor Green Card for foreign quants?

Hi,

I was not sure which forum was the right place to post this so I decided to put it on 'Jobs' as it is about, well, a job perspective in a broad sense. I am currently working in Silicon Valley, a big corporation, but I start find the corporation life is generally a joke in a pathetic way. I got through H1-B lottery this year and the company is preparing the Green Card sponsor for me but I really want to leave this corporate bureaucracy hell I get this idea maybe I can ask my Hedge Fund employer (if I ever get an offer anyway though) to sponsor the one instead of waiting for it to be approved from my current employer, might will take a couple of years.

What do you think?

Thank you!
