Asset Finance and Leasing
Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you can shed any light on asset finance and leasing( DB) or any similar group at other banks. It seems like a pretty interesting area to work.

I can definitely speak to the topic. PM me and we can talk about DB's platform.
Would you mind shedding some light on the Asset Finance & Leasing group? What do you do as an analyst/associate on a day-to-day basis? Is it possible to do AF&L after a stint in M&A or Debt Financing? And what are the exit opps like? Thank you!
Check PM.
i am also in asset finance as well for a large bank after starting out in BB IBD. life style is significantly different as you can imagine. there's a great article on M&I regarding this if you havent seen it already
Thanks for the heads up on the article-will definitely check it out. In your opinion whats the difference between the lifestyle/ environment? do you enjoy the work?
Can someone speak on the pay and the structure of the group? Is the work similar to securitization and asset based lending?
the difference in lifestyle is fairly significant. i don't work weekends and leave around 7-10pm on weekdays. the work itself is a bit more technical vs modeling a company as there are all sorts of variables.
in regards to pay, my base salary is 10k higher than street and my bonus was about the same as a BB IBD.
Reviving this thread!! It's an area i'm interested in... so would be grateful for more insight :)
sandhurst, would definitely like to hear your insights although i dont have enough points to PM.
i currently work in the asset finance space
Sandhurst: can you share your insights? thank you in advance
