Average Analyst Comp
What is the average comp across the street for a first year analyst (in terms of base and bonus)? And do EBs pay more than BBSs?

Career Resources
EBs do pay more. Evercore and PJT at ~180K if not mistaken. Heard Centerview's total first-year all-in comp is ~$230K and scales to ~$250 by the end of the analyst program. Think BBs are around $150K - $160K but would defer to others.
EB analysts here can confirm those numbers for CVP/EVR/PJT but do note some caveats (have friends in all the firms mentioned)
1) 2018/2019 were great m&a years where bonus was almost 100% of salary (95K base ) 2) PJT $180k was top bucket level I’d say $165-170k is more realistic for the avg (still great though) 3) CVP is $230 when you consider the $50k signing bonus and once again this is for top bucket most would be $210-215k 4) bonuses this year will probably be 20-30% lower than last year imo even with strong restructuring (m&a pays more than restructuring) unless H2 20 comes in super strong

Can someone tell me what the comp looks like for Equity Research and what recent bonuses have been?
Does anyone know what Compensation is at BBs in Houston for first year analysts? (BAML/Citi/Barc)
I have heard it can come to about 125k which is really good considering COL but insight would be really helpful.
$125k is a little low. Houston comp is the same as NYC, ~135k-150k is probably a better range for BBs. For another point of reference, a few of my friends at EBs pulled down ~180k. At that COL, it's a hell of a deal.

how about for Rx groups? HL/EVR/PJT/Roth/Gugg
Roth is 80-100% of base iirc

What about MoCo and PWP? I've heard both these places have huge ranges between their top and bottom bucket analysts.

Roommate works at MoCo, as far as I know AN1 bonus range last year was ~$50k-$110k. Think they've given out a few f-you bonuses before that're a bit lower than the floor, but that's few and far between and only if you are truly bottom bucket.
