B-school summer internship CV- I-bank & Finance
Hi all, Here's the link to my resume- http://www.razume.com/documents/16752 - Please have a look and post your suggestions. I am in the 1st year of a business school and looking forward to pitching this resume for summer internships with the bb I-banks & other finance firms. Any constructive suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Update- Does this look any better- http://www.razume.com/documents/16768 - ?
Please comment also about the content in the resume with regard to summer internship at IBanks.
You should probably run that by your school's career services office. There is a probably a designated format they'd like you to follow...
Ha ha ha. I didn't even know where to begin.
Goddamn this is a train wreck. I think the format is interesting. Never seen someone go through all that trouble with the block-format labeling everywhere. Please look up your school's resume format. This version is an auto-ding, even though the content seems very solid.
The career services office here is student run & they seem ok with the format. I would appreciate it very much if you people can be more specific with the shortcomings in my resume. Is it the format? if yes, then what exactly?- side blocks? Or, is it the distribution of content? Any suggestions for improvement are welcome, with gratitude.
Take a look at the formatting for other resumes that have been posted. Look up formats at the top american b-schools. Do something like that.
In addition to the formatting, you have multiple errors in spelling, grammar, and consistency. Your resume fails to deliver a clear message.
Thank you all for pointing out these flaws in the CV. I would make the necessary corrections within the restrictions of the relatively rigid career office's format. It would be highly appreciated if you folks can also comment on the content or any other suggestion.
What the fuck dude.
Actually I kinda like the format... :P
edit: what kind of a b-school has a student run career service? :S
Your qualifications seem strong; use the "mergers and inquisitions" (google for the url) format instead.
Literally, when looking at your resume, I don't know where to begin reading. Should I work my way up? Should I start in the middle and take a counterclockwise circular-motion, or should I just drop the resume altogether and look at indecent things on my computer? I just don't know.
