Back Office to IB/PE? Offers to choose

Hey Guys,

First post here.

It would be great if I could just have some advice on the offers/in progress interviews I am having, as I am not 100% sure which path I should take. My ultimate goal is moving into a PE within max. 4 years.

Here is my timeline: * Graduated from a top 10 university with an engineering degree * Worked as a back office analyst in a top BB for nearly 3 years, during which I: -passed my CFA lv 2 -became strongly interested in valuing investments thus learnt to build financial models and invested myself * Left BB and did full time job hunting, so far I: -referred to a large PE shop and passed all interviews including model test, but eventually job was given to a guy with previous deal experiences. -got an internship (no pay) in a newly established fund/investment trust, after that I could either: --become full time if doing good after 2 months, or --apply for a 1yr MBA next year
-offered for a Business Manager role for IBD in a tier 2 bank (good pay), with potential to move to IB in 1/2yrs
-potential offer in a Corporate Finance role in a F500 non-financial industry firm (okay pay).

I understand that I started late compare to most of the guys wanting to do IB/PE, but any advice on either offer choice or career path would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks a lot, David
