Background Check... should I be scared?
just signed an offer for sa 2021 and I just realized that the resume I sent in had an incorrect date for one of my previous experiences. The thing is that I had an experience from after my freshman year on there but replaced it with my one from after senior year HS and just forgot to switch the date.... stupid, I know, but is this something I should seriously worry about or something to just clarify with staffer/HR before I start given that my letter says they can contact my previous employers? Want to clarify that it's nothing actually finance related, just a grocery store cashier job. Thanks in advance
I honestly wouldn't worry about it. I thought you meant you had a misdemeanor or something and was worried.
This seems a bit trivial. Definitely update your resume for further submissions, but I don't think they would care that you missed it and it might just cause more drama to bring it up than to let it go.
This.
You will DEFINITELY be terminated for making a mistake on your background check, so I would go to your old bosses and order them to lie at gunpoint.
Assault with a deadly weapon is something we can work out if you know the right people - but switching dates, just send your last day email right now.
how about giving actual help instead of being a dick
Bump same problem. High school Internship date off by a year - listed as two years ago instead of three
