If it shows up on your transcript then it may present a problem and you'll have some explaining to do. Does this mean you cheated on a test or something, or got into a fight? Both are bad and I'm not sure which is worse but the key is they'll probably notice if it's on your transcript. If its not (and it just doesn't show you as a student for that semester), then you're in the clear - just looks like you took some time off etc.

It does show up on transcript and it’s for a cheating incident. although I know it’s serious, if they asked about the situation it seems more petty on the schools part. How much do you think they’ll overlook it/will they rescind the offer?
