Banker in underwear STOPS thief from robbing his Benz...

"You picked the wrong car - you're going to pay for this in jail." - our hero

Ending an extended crime spree in Chelsea/Fulham, London, banker and amateur rugby player Stephen Canny stopped moped thief Leon de Silva from robbing his car. In his boxers, he ran out of his house and tackled the thief as soon as he heard someone breaking into his Mercedes A200:

The teenager, who ended up with two black eyes, can be seen in the video attempting to wriggle out from underneath Mr Canny, but executive director for Volcap Trading, is heard shouting: "You ain't going nowhere mate. You must be stupid."

Check this out (WARNING: its a fight):

Lessons: 1. Don't mess with British, rugby-playing bankers. 2. Putting on weight behind a desk at work can be a good thing.

here is an interview with the guy (towards the bottom of the page)

What would you do in his situation?

How would you deal with someone stealing your stuff?

Thoughts?

Honestly man, people stealing shit are usually just poor and I feel bad for them. I'd recover my shit but I wouldn't like pin him down and talk shit...

Treat him like a victim and maybe next time he’ll kill some old lady for $20.

Fuck thieves of all kinds. Anyone who attempts to be a thief deserves to get their shit pushed in at every turn.

I assure you that I do not. I'm just not walking around looking for a fight all day and have a strong sense of empathy. Maybe learn a martial art or go for a run even. It'll be good for your self-esteem.

I think that guy (the thief) deserves to be attacked for this STUPIDITY.

WHO would try to steal an A-Classe? Most Honda Accords cost more. Both start at under $30k NEW. Should learn his cars beforehand. Shaking my head.

If I was home and someone was trying to rob my car/apartment I'd grab my 9mm from under my bed and go stop them. Granted, I live in the US, I know gun laws are different in the UK.
