Bankerlla Makes the front page of CNBC

It looks like CNBC is lurking these forums some more and has decided to write an article on Bankerlla's dating advice from a few days ago. here is the link http://www.cnbc.com/id/48554089. At least they were kind enough to link to WSO this time.

She also made it to an article on Business Insider : http://www.businessinsider.com/dating-men-on-wall…

Looks like WSO is blowing up these days

1. LOL like most of the guys in finance aren't insecure twats?
  1. Good publicity for WSO, good job bankerella

  2. In other news....this is an issue because attention is being drawn to the meetups as well. In all seriousness, I propose that we ban uninvited press from coming or require them to openly identify themselves as such. They are seriously looking to make an example of and get a cheap headline out of anyone in banking, and will hurt us and make stuff up to get that story. I know this because I've seen this. I'm posting this as an open warning to everyone here. This is very serious: at meetups and in general, DO NOT TRUST THE PRESS, THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND AND ALL YOU ARE IS A STORY TO THEM.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Get busy living

Easy there, UFO. You've also warned us on the best practices thread. Goosfrabah.

Too bad this site is getting media exposure for all the wrong reasons.

Here to learn and hopefully pass on some knowledge as well. SB if I helped.

I'd rather have my daughter grow up to write what bankerella wrote about men and relationships than my son grow up to write the type of shit the typical WSO guy writes on women and 'dating.'

Care to explain why?

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

On further review, I'm going to wuss out and backtrack a little. I take back the bankerella/daughter part, maybe I should just say there's some disturbing stuff written by the guys, too, and leave it at that.

Because most of what men write here about women amounts to bitching about how girls have shitty taste in boys.

None of us were cool in high school, but that is what made us insecure enough to work our balls off to get into finance, right? Just go out and fail a few dozen times. You'll probably get better with women, and most of you sure as hell can't get any worse.
