Does anyone know what to expect from the Barclays online psychometric assessment?
If so, any sample tests?
Any tips? Does a psychometric test include analytical, verbal and numerical tests? or is it like a personality test?

Barclays will make you do numerical and verbal tests.
Numerical and verbal. Pass the numerical and you'll go to the verbal. Pass that and your application will go to HR for screening.
Basically, situation is different. My CV was emailed to an executive by a family friend in conjunction with a bursary.
HR phoned me directly and said I must take the online psychometric assessment and then, if I pass, I will go onto the final round interviews.
Are these tests difficult? Or are you more lapsed for time?
Best way to practice for this test would be....?
Your situation is in no way different. You'll still have the same exact tests and will be subject to the same exact (low) pass-marks
So you say you don't need such high marks to actually pass?
SHL based. Their site has a practise test.

Hi Southafricanbanker I am now working for Barclays, granted I started in the UK but I'm sure it's a similar process. If you want more information about the process in general try wikijobs they're briliiant for that kind of thing. A site I found useful for practice tests aimed specifically at Barclays applicants is jobtestprep. Hope this helps and good luck!
I did a few sample tests on SHL. and havent scoreb below 70 for numeric or verbal.
Pretty strong in inductive reasoning, scored above 85.
Any know what would be needed to pass?

I took the one for Macquarie. It reminded me of an IQ test. I heard Barclays is similar. It wasn't hard. More brainteasers and math questions. I also interviewed for some overseas funds. They all had a test. Seems like everyone is using some sort of test now.
