Baring Private Equity Asia - Reputation?

Hear that they recently had a $4.5 billion first close. Anyone aware of their reputation in the Asian PE landscape? Certainly can't be too bad with a first close like that, but how would they compare to American / European megafunds in the region? Thanks in advance all!

I have a good friend that works there. Have heard really good things from him, especially about the cross-border and education team. They've done some pretty big deals such as Prometric, Wall Street English and Nord Anglia.

One of the best pan-asia buyout funds. Others include PAG, MBK, Affinity...humble and grounded culture...really stable team with IC members working together for ~20years. They have 2 year asso program which require 2 year asso to go to fulfill the MBA program. And their junior level turnover is also low.
