Bay Area Visit
I accepted an offer at a Bay Area HF and am going to be relocating (from OC) in November. I’m in the Bay Area visiting for the next three days, any restaurants/bars/other places I should make sure to go to? I figured I’d walk around the Financial District in SF since I’ve never been but not sure of any specifics.
The bay area covers a long area. What type of food does it matter?
Currently in Berkeley by the Marina, so I'm thinking Berkeley/Oakland/Northeastern part of SF. Kind of food doesn't really matter.
Okay, there is a really great seafood restaurant, in Emeryville, right on the water. Skates on the bay. You can see the bay Bridge from there and San Francisco.
It's a way out from the financial district, but I had a really good steak at Bobo's Steakhouse during my last SF visit.
Looks great, I’ll try it tomorrow! Thanks!

Good lookin out!
That is everywhere.
I loved Sausalito and Napa area but SF sucks balls imo. Good luck over there.
How old are you and how much will you make?
29, about 110. This is my third year in the industry so a little late to the game.
What's ur all in total comp assuming a good year?
Benu if you're looking for fine dining though I'm not sure you can get a spot now. Otherwise spots in the Mission are usually good such as Foreign Cinema or any mexican place there haha. I really hate SF so knowing that hopefully you can treat my suggestions as fairly unbiased.
The financial district will be pretty dead on a weekend and nothing really there worth seeing unless you just want see where your office will be. it neighbors north beach, nob hill, union square all touristy spots.
There are some spots worth checking out and spots in the east bay and north bay if you have time to head out there.
- san tung for awesome chinese chicken wings. it's in the inner sunset (irving and 11th streets)
- Limon restaurant in the mission for peruvian (16th street and valenica)
- Mandalay in the inner richmond district for burmese (6th ave and california)
-cholita linda for caribbean style mexican food. It's in oakland (lake temescal area - 51st and telegraph) - there's supposed to be one coming to the ferry building in SF, not sure that it's open yet
- uptown oakland (broadway area) has some good cafes and restaurants to check out
-hiking in the marin headlands are supposed to be some of the best.
