BB Nordic M&A vs EB generalist
So, the headline more or less gives away my questions;
As an Analyst 1/2 in London, would you rate BB Nordic M&A higher/lower than EB "generalist"? and why?
I have heard arguments for both - some say a Nordic M&A team might be too specialised that early in your career and others put more weight on the fact that it's BB.
Frankly, I think these days EB analysts are considered stronger/better prepared than BB analysts if anything, so I would definitely recommend a generalist role there over Nordic M&A. You will still learn valuable M&A skills in the Nordic role obviously about how to run a process, but I think the EB role will almost certainly provide better experience/exit opps.
Thanks, I share your view. Especially if it's not a top BB. As you might have guessed, I'm due to make that decision, so just trying to get as many inputs as possible.
Cheers!
