Best extracurriculars to take at community college to increase chance of transfer?

Basically the title. I'm at a CC rn and I got good grades rn and I'm gonna be applying as a transfer to schools pretty soon. All I do outside of school though is play a sport (2 if you include chess lmao). What else should I do? The clubs at my school I think are pretty weak, nobody really goes to them, but I'll do a little more digging. Honors societies? Those are good right? Anything else that I missed lmk.

Oftentimes community colleges don't have a lot of finance/business-related clubs. If you have the time, consider starting one. Honors societies are also fine.

If you are able to get a job that might help too. The workload is usually pretty light at CC so showing you can easily handle the work is important. I worked 20 hours a week while attending a CC and I think it helped show I was ready for more of a challenge.

First, join the honor society - it's an easy bullet point. Next, go volunteer somewhere. Like Habitat for Humanity or the IRS VITA program. The latter is in the spring so may not work for you but just volunteer for something. Finally, low turn out clubs are the best clubs when you are looking to transfer. All you have to do is show up and they will basically hand you some leadership roles. How hard could it be to do a club budget of 500 bucks for the 3 people that show up? The next admissions office isn't going to see some leadership roles at a club and be like "omg I have heard of this club and no one goes." Just focus on making yourself look good on paper and you will be fine.

I'll ask my econ professor about the econ club since it's essentially nonexistent, maybe I can squeeze a leadership role out there, especially since I'm planning on transferring for econ or econ with a concentration in finance, that'll probably help.

I'll check out the dead clubs for sure actually. Good ideas bro thanks.
