Best MSF Schools for IB
Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me what schools I should focus on going to for my MSF that will help me get into IB ( it doesn't have to be Wallstreet). A little background on me. I just graduated from a no-name school in Nashville with a 3.61 GPA. I have interned for a year at a small consulting firm as an analyst doing M&A's and will be working at UBS in the middle office for a year while I study for the GMAT and take calculus since some schools want it as a prerequisite. I am also sitting for CFA level 1 later this month, which I plan on passing. I'm being realistic and plan on getting in the low to mid 600's for the GMAT. The schools I was looking at are Illinois, Indiana, Vanderbilt, UT Austin, Villanova, USC and UCLA, but if there are other schools that will help me break into the industry that would be great to know about.
Thanks.
As a college graduate, you should be able to get a 650 without studying anything on the GMAT. Aim higher. As far as the MSF issue, look at each school's representation in IB on LinkedIn that have the degree you aspire to earn.
PM'd you.
