Best NYU dorm for midtown SA intern? Help Please!

Can someone rank these dorms: Alumni Hall, 3rd North, Coral Towers, Carlyle Court? I'll be working midtown this summer around 50th.

Also, will these dorms be full by now? I don't care if I get a single or double, I just want a place to live, haha.

P.S. How does EHS compare in terms of quality? I know it's significantly pricier but closer...

Alternative suggestions?

craigslist. seriously. i along with all my friends who live in the city found our places there.

website says a single is 230 a week, x 4 = 920 a month...you could get a place for almost that cheap, maybe 1100ish, in the financial district right?

Alumni Hall (good for single rooms) > third north (clean and sizeable rooms) > coral towers (tiny rooms and worse bathrooms) > carlyle (probably the worst dorm of all)

Distance to midtown around 50th closest to farthest:

Carlyle Coral Third Alumni Hall

all are around 1.5 - 2.0 miles away

linsane bankerI hear NYU has shitty sign in policies for overnight guests? is it easy to sneak in people?

Very true. You can't sneak in people as the building have turnstiles and a guard sitting at the desk. Unless you manage to jump the turnstile and somehow not have the guard see you, there's no sneaking in. The guest policy sucks, but that's really the only downside to living there. The building is full of SA's and fairly attractive girls. Really easy to meet people and you pretty much have a go to set of people to go out with aside from work colleagues.

Oh...well fuck that then. Especially if it costs more than a spot in FiDi. I'm not doing an SA though, I'm a post grad that may be interning in summer, so I doubt I could even get a room at nyu without an official internship lined up before I apply for the room. Even so, I'd still take fidi if it's like 1100 vs 1300+ at NYU.

the myu dorms are like $1500/month for non nyu students over the summer . the other thing you are all failing to realize is that there won't be hardly any nyu girls in these dorms over the summer, there'll be girls from other schools (aka the quality will be a lot lower than you're thinking).

Well, then this is what I have to say to the NYU dorm option: You're fucking out.

Forget about the the NYU girls. There will be girls from Ole Miss/UNC/USC etc. interning in the city staying at NYU.
