Big 4 TAS to IB

Hey guys, so I got a Big 4 TAS position for my junior internship this summer (no IB unfortunately), should I try to recruit for FT IB positions or is my chance for one over? Would I be better off staying within the group for a couple of years and then going MBA route?

Always try. Not taking your shot just because you think you don't have a chance makes no sense, the worst they can tell you is no. If you don't end up landing an FT offer then you have the potential back up (assuming the Big4 asks you back) of spending some time in TAS and gaining experience, which is a solid platform to lateral into IB after a year. And if after an exhaustive effort of trying to lateral into the industry it's still not looking great then go the MBA route. There are many different routes into IB beyond just the traditional recruiting out of undergrad or getting an MBA.

Yes, try for it. Don't be one of the people that self selects himself or herself out of the process.
