Blackberrys?
Curious,
Are most people still given blackberrys in IB? That seems so outdated at this point. I heard a blackberry sound in the background of one of my calls today and nearly shit myself.
If so, which model are they using?
Not a troll, I really want to know. Afraid to ask on the phone.
This shit matters, I need to be up to date on my blackberry technicals if I want a job at the goldman sax.
Yes, the BlackBerry Classic is still available.
While Blackberry is still used by many Investment Banks (including the one I work for), many are shifting to iPhones. I will say, I actually enjoy using a physical keyboard when typing out important emails.
I like using my blackberry, reminds me of the hours of brick breaker I used to grind out in AP calc and physics that brought my gpa down
shittn yourself from a blackberry sound.... I usually shit myself when im screwed...
I know a few banks still issue Blackberrys as work phones, but most have switched over to iPhone + GOOD/BlackBerry at Work apps.
This post made me dig out my Blackberry Bold. One of the best phones I've ever owned, RIP :(
rip
BlackBerry is no longer an option at my firm and I mourn it everyday. They are so much better for work than an iPhone/Android.
My firm did the same thing, even with some of the guys originally swearing they'd have to pry their BBs out of their dead hands.
Do most of the people that still rock the BB have a personal iphone/android?
I have both.
Currently have a BB. We are all moving to iPhones at some point
Got issued an iPhone for my internship
Up there with raspberries. Make for a fucking awesome cobbler.
Only real reason to get into banking if you ask me.
The cobbler game exit opps sound second-to-none
Yep, I absolutely despise this thing. Definitely going to hit up IT and see if they can switch onto my iPhone.
Got issued an iPhone for work, started full-time earlier this year
