bonus bonus bonus bonus..

I'm so sick of hearing about how the banking cycle is over and it's a bad time to join (i'll be a 1st year next summer).. so let's talk about the damn bonus, how bad is it gonna be for analysts this year and next year. I know it's going down from now (with some exceptions like GS) but by how much do you all think??

For a analyst in HK, what are the exit opportunities like? I accepted the HK BB job because the banks cut the recruiting number at my school by large. What are my options if i wanted to come back to the U.S. after 2-3 years?

Thanks a lot!

From what I've been told, when we start in a location like Tokyo/HK/SG/NY/London, we develop region centric skills and deal experience and therefore mobility isn't as easy as we imagine.

I'm not surprised considering each region handles a different flavour of M&A/ECM.

Can anyone confirm this? I would point out that at the Director level mobility is much easier.

Agree with Cindy_80. And also consider the fact that its easier to get into HK, etc because there is a demand for analysts there... moving back to NY would be quite tough for both the reasons.
