Boutique IB/PE Internship vs. FT MO position at a middle market Financial Services Firm
Hello WSO Community,
I am a recent graduate of a semi-target school and would like to lateral into a BB or MM investment bank as soon as possible (ideally in the next year or 2 if possible). I currently have 3 options: 1. a 6 month internship at a local/boutique investment bank 2. a 6 month internship at a local/boutique private equity search fund 3. a 2 year rotational program through the corporate finance, treasury, credit risk, and market risk division at a well-known financial services company (think Raymond James, Stifel, Nomura, etc...). I think the work I will be doing at either of the 2 internships will be more relevant, but my 3rd option has a strong name. I am looking for advice on which one would give me a better chance to lateral. Thanks!
