Breaking into IB with a late start as an undergrad? (Diversity/Low GPA/Sophomore)

I've just transferred into Fordham University as a sophomore coming from a liberal arts school. I had a bullshit soft major at my previous school but will be switching to economics this semester. I'm very new to this space (didn't know IB or consulting were industries until this month) but I hope I can break into an MBB (preferred) or BB with a FT offer by the time I graduate in three years (taking an extra year since my scholarship allows).

I'm applying to the 2022 sophomore internships at these companies but I don't know how to overcome my lack of experience + low GPA (3.2 but resets at Fordham). I've been working since I was 14, but mostly bullshit in this order: leading professional development workshops for teens, community outreach on substance abuse, retail, youth mentorship, supervising a small team of tutors, and leading ropes courses at a special needs camp.

What do I need to do to be competitive? I'm already taking basic microeconomics, precalc, and finite mathematics, and I have a copy of Bulletproof Problem Solving to develop case skills, but I'm looking for some more action steps. What else can I do to offset my weaknesses and develop strengths?
