Interning at one of these two this summer. They pay $85k pro-rated, plus 1.5x overtime and 2x for more than 12 hrs per day. This seems like it would come out to just under $40k pre-tax (double what other firms pay). Can anyone confirm? Seems like a smart way to get your interns to stay on for FT.

Fairly certain it’s not a company policy thing; rather CA state law mandates 1.5x overtime while NY law doesn’t do the same.
