Canaccord Genuity (toronto, etc..) Analyst Salary?

How much is the salary at a firm like Canaccord? For a beginning analyst... Also, how much would a typical bonus be?

And how much would the pay go up each year?

I would think:
1st year: 80k + 15k
2nd year: 90k + 20k
3rd year: 100K + 25k

is this a good estimate?

Gauging options...

There's been talk recently of canadian firms even paying more than most u.s. locations, and also, of course, with better job security.

Can anyone speak to this?

Canaccord pays above the canadian street. Your base salary and bonuses are incorrect. Job security and investment banking, regardless of location, is oxymoronic. If your talent cannot foster or retain relationships, the bank will not get deals done. No deals = No fees = No job for you (and I).

"Gauging options." Do you have an offer? I doubt it.

The difference between successful people and others is largely a habit - a controlled habit of doing every task better, faster and more efficiently.

Thx for the reply..

I do not currently have an offer, but I come from a target with good options and I'm currently weighing the pros and cons of going to US or prospects here that I like (personal reasons, I don't want to hear the typical "go to U.S. go to BB").

Are the base salary and bonuses for first year above my estimates? Thx

Canaccord toronto pays its first year analysts 70k base. Bonus changes depending on how well the firm is doing that particular year. I've heard people getting upwards of 150k total comp. Remember for these salary figures to be comp with that which you see on Wall Street, you need to take into account the current CADUSD rate, which I think is 1 CAD to ~0.90 USD.

That's a retarded way of looking at it; you're not getting paid in CAD and then spending in USD.

Is anyone aware of Canaccord Genuity, London office in terms of deal flow, culture, pay, exit opps, etc etc?

I second this. Anyone know or have an educated guess considering how they are rated with other similar sized banks in London?
