I'm surprised more micro cap "hedge funds" haven't considered taking up the strategy of putting up a substantial portion of their capital in activist campaigns against sub-$100mm companies. Probably the easiest way to get press, especially with companies that are nominally led by people who are followed by financial media.

Probably the easiest way to get press, especially with companies that are nominally led by people who are followed by financial media.

My fund invests primarily in micro/small cap. Promo is part of our life. Stocks are so illiquid any boost can result in substantial gains. We need liquidity
